We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr Data Analyst with strong SQL skills and a background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance or reinsurance. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights to support underwriting, pricing, and risk management decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Extract, clean, and analyze data using SQL and other tools to support business functions
- Develop dashboards and reports to track key metrics for underwriting and claims performance
- Identify data trends, anomalies, and opportunities to improve business outcomes
- Support the implementation of predictive models and automation projects
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and consistency across platforms
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or related field
- 2 years of experience as a data analyst, preferably in P&C insurance or reinsurance
- Proficiency in SQL
- Strong understanding of insurance data (e.g., policies, claims, loss runs, exposure data)
- Experience working with underwriting, actuarial, or finance teams
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Python, R, or Power BI/Tableau
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., NAIC, Lloyd’s, Solvency II)
- Familiarity with reinsurance structures (treaty, facultative) and ceded data
- Experience with data warehousing or cloud platforms (Snowflake, AWS, etc.)
