The ETF Middle Office Analyst plays a key role in supporting the trading, operations, and compliance functions for the firm’s Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) business. This position bridges front office trading desks and back-office operations, ensuring seamless execution, trade capture, settlement, and reporting of ETF-related activities. The role requires deep knowledge of ETF mechanics, primary and secondary market workflows, and regulatory requirements specific to broker-dealers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support daily ETF primary market activity (create/redeem orders), including order validation, processing, and settlement coordination with APs and custodians.
- Act as a liaison between trading desks, ETF product managers, operations, compliance, and custodians to ensure timely and accurate trade capture.
- Perform real-time trade capture and post-trade validation of ETF orders, including NAV calculations and cash component reconciliations.
- Work closely with authorized participants (APs), market makers, and clearing agents to resolve trade breaks and settlement issues.
- Support the ETF basket file creation and dissemination, including portfolio composition file (PCF) uploads and verifications.
- Maintain strong understanding of ETF structure, including index replication strategies, creation unit sizes, and portfolio holdings transparency.
- Collaborate with fund accounting and portfolio managers on NAV strikes, daily cash flows, and fund rebalancing activities.
- Perform daily reconciliation of trades, positions, and cash across internal systems and external counterparties.
- Assist with surveillance of ETF-related trade activity to ensure compliance with firm policies and SEC/FINRA regulations.
Salary : $125,000 - $170,000
