Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Carry out custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Ensure restrooms are stocked and sanitized regularly to promote hygiene.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies, demonstrating flexibility in work assignments.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
- Adhere to safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
- Familiarity with floor care methods including buffing and maintenance is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- A positive attitude with strong communication skills is essential for interacting with staff and visitors.
