What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Laborer position at Pheasant Country Golf Course?
Under supervision, to perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance and construction, care and maintenance of the greens, tees, fairways, and roughs on a golf course; and to do related work as required.
Typical Tasks:
Operates powered mowing equipment in trimming golf course greens, tees, fairways, and roughs; assists with watering roughs; applies growth enhancers and disease inhibitors to greens and tees; Grades and prepares base, lays sod, and seeds greens, tees, and fairways; participates in the daily setup for play.
Excavates and backfills ditches and trenches with hand tools; cuts weeds and brush; operates portable equipment; acts as grounds man for tree trimmers-removing; cutting up and loading limbs; does janitorial work in cleaning and maintaining a building; waters roughs and plants, cuts grass, cultivates trees and plants, rakes leaves, and does other grounds maintenance work.
