General Summary
- Reporting to the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, the Associate Vice President of Finance is responsible for direction and oversight of the Accounting and Supply Chain functions of Phelps Health.
- Responsible for the development and direction of Accounting and Supply Chain operations to ensure alignment with the Phelps Health mission, vision and values.
- Ensures compliance, accuracy and timeliness of various regulatory reporting including but not limited to Cost Reports, Wage Index Reviews, Occupational Mix Surveys, Financial Statement Audits, and Single Audits.
- Responsible for monthly and annual Financial Statement reviews and compilation of monthly Finance Packet for the SVP/CFO and Board of Directors.
- Ensures compliance with accounting standards and demonstrates responsiveness to changes in requirements.
- Oversees Supply Chain operations to ensure the supply needs of clinical operations teams are met.
- Assists Accounting and Supply Chain teams with process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required. Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- Seven years healthcare financial and accounting experience required; plus demonstrated supervisory and analytical skills required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Considerable mental concentration on variable projects. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, reaching required.
- Standard office conditions; clean, well lit, climate controlled environment.
