Outside Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will have industry experience in selling custom decorated apparel and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. You will be responsible for generating new business, nurturing existing client relationships, and driving sales through a consultative approach.

Essential Functions :

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation : Identify and develop new sales leads through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
  • Client Meetings : Conduct face-to-face meetings with potential and existing clients to understand their needs and offer custom apparel solutions tailored to their requirements.
  • Sales Presentations & Negotiations : Present product offerings, provide quotes, and negotiate pricing. Customize presentations to fit client budgets and specifications.
  • Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Order Fulfillment : Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • Target Achievement : Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Demonstrate aggressive pursuit of sales opportunities.
  • Market Research : Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive products, and new offerings in the decorated apparel market.
  • Sales Reporting : Track and report sales activities, pipeline, and revenue projections using CRM software.

Skills / Qualifications :

  • Proven experience (5 years) in outside sales, preferably in the custom decorated apparel or related industries (e.g., promotional products, print, merchandising).
  • Aggressive, results-driven sales mentality with a track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to connect with clients and close deals.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting processes.
  • A solid understanding of the custom apparel industry, including decoration techniques such as embroidery, screen printing, UV printing and promotional products, is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for traveling to client meetings.
  • Education / Experience Required :

  • 5 years of sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Physical Requirements :

  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Collect, interpret, and / or analyze complex data and information
  • Understand and respond to a diverse population
  • Lift and / or move up to 30 pounds at times
  • Proof of insurance and a safe MVR record is required
  • Ability to use telephone / cell phone to communicate with customers, inside sales and support, and outside sales personnel
  • Primarily travel based but also an inside average office environment
  • Must occasionally be in production area for pickup of customer orders, average time of 30 minutes or less in other areas than office
  • Average office noise levels with no PPE required
