Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the leasing process for our residential properties, ensuring a positive experience for potential tenants while adhering to Fair Housing regulations. Your expertise in customer service and property management will be essential in promoting our community and meeting leasing goals.
Duties
- Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants, highlighting features and benefits.
- Assist in the application process, including gathering necessary documentation and conducting background checks.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant applications, leases, and other relevant documents in compliance with legal requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Negotiate lease terms with prospective tenants to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Stay informed of Fair Housing Laws/regulations.
- Collaborate with the property management team to implement marketing strategies that attract new residents.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized leasing files.
Experience
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and legal requirements related to leasing is highly desirable.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Sales experience is a plus, particularly in negotiating terms and closing leases.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, including filing and maintaining organized records.
