Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Patient Financial Services, the Business Analyst role has the key function of providing critical business insights via in-depth investigation and gathering of technical and non-technical information to develop and present analytical reporting and graphical solutions.
Responsibilities Include

Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Patient Financial Services, the Business Analyst role has the key function of providing critical business insights via in-depth investigation and gathering of technical and non-technical information to develop and present analytical reporting and graphical solutions.
Responsibilities Include
- Supporting business analysis to ensure robust outcomes and optimize the business.
- Analyzing financial and payor behavior data such as collections and denial data, payor trends, contract offers, and financial results.
- Monitoring economic trends, financial information, and industry news.
- Gathering, validating, and documenting business requirements.
- Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
- Modelling processes and identifying opportunities for process and systems improvements.
- Evaluating opportunities, estimating costs, and identifying business savings/enhancements relative inhouse projects or vendor application contracts.
- Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team.
- Provide guidance for EDI application specialist.
- Development of ongoing KPI visualizations and presentation methods with alert features to make process management immediately aware of unintended outcomes.
- Implementing and testing of solutions. Supporting business transitions and helping to establish change.
- Preparing reports, presentations and documentation and helping negotiate business agreements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Understand and provide visible support of Destination Zero.
- B.S. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in data-centric role (ETL, DBA, SQL Developer, SSRS, Power BI, etc.)
- 3-5 years’ experience with SQL databases (MS SQL Server preferred)
- Work experience as a Report Developer or related experience.
- Experience working with SQL Server Integration Services.
- Experience with Python, SQL Server, and Power BI.
- Industry knowledge (Healthcare, Aviation, Revenue Cycle)
- Strong business and financial acumen with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills including high impact communicator, both written and oral.
- Organizational Skills - vigilance, organization, and time management
- Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize, organize, and effectively manage time to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Capable to work under pressure while managing conflicting priorities and tight timelines.
- Computer skills (MS Suite) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- This position is designated Safety Sensitive for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act
