Position Summary: The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing reactive and preventative maintenance across the various areas of Goodness Gardens, including but not limited to production equipment, machinery, general facility, and grounds. What You Will Do
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) for plant equipment, Greenhouses, Farms and facilities..
- Identify defects during PPMs and undertake necessary repairs, including recording actions in the maintenance manual.
- Complete structural, mechanical, and electrical improvement works.
- Provide reactive maintenance support to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Supervise contractors, ensuring their work meets required specifications.
- Report any contractor issues to the Manager.
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements on-site.
- Be available on-call for emergency maintenance needs.
- Identify facility problems, especially those affecting production efficiency, and recommend rectification measures.
- Assist in the implementation of operational projects as needed.
- Maintain and repair equipment, including but not limited to:
- Conveying systems with label applicators and scanners.
- Refrigeration systems (CO2).
- High-speed roller doors, dock levelers, and lighting systems.
- Plumbing, access controls, and racking.
- Material Handling Equipment
- Waste compactors, conveyors, compressors, and comfort cooling systems.
- Provide regular updates to the manager regarding defects, outstanding issues, and completed PPM tasks.
- Keep an updated list of spare parts and components required for facility equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
