Phil Long Ford of Motor City is searching for a Parts Puller. This is an entry level, hourly, position working in a fast-paced environment. The perfect candidate will have a strong work ethic and strong attention to detail.
Job Summary:
A Parts Puller is responsible for pulling parts for delivery or for customer pick up.
Duties:
- Pull parts from designated locations based on a ticket or parts invoice, with 100% accuracy, and stage for delivery or will call in the appropriate bins.
- Communicate any inventory discrepancies to the sales team.
- Assist with stock keeping duties when necessary.
- Assist in keeping the parts department clean and orderly.
- Responsible for routine picking, receiving, shipping and packing parts.
- Preparing orders for shipment
- Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform accurate and detailed work.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Detailed clerical, inventory, and shipping/receiving experience.
- Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Automotive parts knowledge preferred.
- Lift 60-70 pounds
- Able to be Forklift Certified
- Go up and down stairs multiple times a day
- Not be confused by letters and numbers in combinations
- Have basic math skills
- Be punctual
- Have exceptional attendance, Mon-Fri
- Know the nomenclature for common automobile parts
- Have a desire to learn the parts business
- Clean driving record
