Employees perform work in the Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design or Airport specialty. An employee in this class, plans, assigns, reviews and coordinates the activities of lower-level planners in the area of specialization. Interacting with other agencies, community and business groups and individuals is significant to the work. Work is performed under the direction of a higher-level city planner or administrative superior.
