The employee in this class directs, through subordinate supervisors, a large number of supervisory staff, semi skilled and unskilled workers on assigned shifts and is responsible for managing human capital, budgeting, resource allocation, requisitioning and stores activities necessary to support a major custodial services operation. Contact with departmental administrators and City officials to develop plans and discuss challenges concerning the provision of optimal building operation services and motivating staff to incorporate quality and customer service strategies into all work practices is a major aspect of this work. Work is performed under the supervision of an administrative superior.
