ABOUT THE POSITIONThis is field water distribution repair and maintenance work at the full performance level. Incumbents perform a variety of assignments required by the repair and maintenance of water mains and equipment. Employees in this class may work evening, weekends, and holidays as assignments require. Work is performed under the close supervision of field crew chiefs. An employee in this class performs firstline repair and maintenance of segments of the city-wide water distribution system. Work involves the exertion of moderate physical effort under conditions which can be only partially controlled.
