Victim Support Coordinator

About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Victim Support Coordinator (VSC) to join our Older Adult Protective Services Unit. In this role, you will support individuals aged 60 who are victims of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or abandonment. You’ll assess risk, develop care plans, and provide critical case management and advocacy services to help ensure their safety and dignity.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to reduce imminent risk.
- Guide clients through victims' compensation processes and coordinate emergency relocations.
- Refer clients to supportive services and collaborate with law enforcement and healthcare providers.
- Initiate emergency interventions (e.g., mental health commitments, PFAs) when needed.
- Provide ongoing case management and advocacy.
- Accurately document all activities in required systems.
- Participate in outreach, training, and reporting activities related to VOCA funding.
What We’re Looking For
- BA/BS/BSW or MA/MS/MSW in Social Work or related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 1 year of case management or social service experience.
- Familiarity with elder care, protective services, or victim support is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are highly valued.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, community-based setting.
