The Older Adult Protective Services (OAPS) Department is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team as a Victim Support Program Supervisor. A strong focus on building and maintaining collaborative relationships with external service providers, offering staff training, and advocating within the community is essential to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide both administrative and clinical supervision to the Victim Support Coordinators, overseeing case management activities and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care for clients.
- Lead regular meetings, case conferences, and day-to-day interactions to monitor staff performance and ensure effective care plans that address abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- Offer guidance to VSCs in their decision-making processes and assist in complex care planning.
- Act as a backup support in critical cases, intervening as needed when VSCs are in the field or handling urgent matters.
- Supervise the accurate and timely documentation of case data in the SAMS and ETO Case Management Systems.
- Assign cases based on the needs of victims, developing care plans aimed at reducing or eliminating immediate risks.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with healthcare, legal, mental health, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Interpret and apply regulatory requirements under PA Act 79 and other relevant laws, ensuring compliance within the Victim Support Program.
- Evaluate the performance of individual staff members and the team, identifying areas for improvement and presenting training needs to the Director.
- Track case resolution timelines and work to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on program statistics, as well as any additional reports as directed by the Director.
- Contribute to the development of departmental policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance service delivery.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new Victim Support Coordinators.
- Represent the program through public outreach, education, and advocacy efforts within the community.
- Identify gaps in resources or services that may hinder effective victim support and work to address these barriers.
- Lead staff training and development initiatives, providing in-service education through supervision and team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field (MA/MS in Social Science).
- Minimum of 3 years of combined casework and supervisory experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, ideally in a social service or protective services setting.
