Job Details This one-year position is grant-funded with possibility for renewal. This Project Coordinator position will support the Principal Investigator (PI) with a new multi-stakeholder large research grant to plan and execute on the goals and deliverables of the projects contained within the grant. The Coordinator will manage the graduate and undergraduate student researchers working on the projects. The individual will be responsible for tracking research activities and reporting metrics to meet funder requirements, organizing and facilitating project meetings, monitoring projects to ensure they remain on-time, on-task, and on-budget, preparing progress reports, managing lab equipment, ordering supplies as needed to support the projects, and work with the PI to interface with research partners and identify additional stakeholders for engagement. Job Description Essential Functions Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Support the PI in setting and meeting the goals and deliverables of grant projects. Manage the graduate and undergraduate students working on the grant projects. Manage and maintain necessary laboratory equipment, supplies and consumables. Plan and prepare reports, presentations, and publications summarizing project results. Organize and manage all data and research results electronically in Lab Archives. Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required): Strong verbal and written presentation skills. Excellent analytical skills & research skills specific to science or engineering Ability to understand and master new concepts quickly. Exceptional creative problem-solving abilities. Detail oriented and proven ability to prioritize multiple objectives in a dynamic environment with constantly shifting priorities. Familiarity with restorative and/or culturally-relevant pedagogical approaches, and implementation with STEM education Familiarity with engineering design Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline required, Engineering preferred AND Experience: Work experience (2-3 years) in STEM education required.
