Your ‘day to day
As the Manufacturing Department Manager, you will play a critical role in optimizing production efficiency by leading and coordinating the line management team within your department or business unit. This position offers you the opportunity to cultivate autonomous, high-performing teams by driving active participation, execution, and development across all levels. You will ensure alignment with daily management systems while upholding the highest standards in safety and quality.

As the Manufacturing Department Manager, you will play a critical role in optimizing production efficiency by leading and coordinating the line management team within your department or business unit. You will ensure alignment with daily management systems while upholding the highest standards in safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and oversee the activities of the assigned business unit in adherence to sustainability, quality, and legal standards.
- Coordinate the line leadership organization to achieve targeted business outcomes.
- Focus on achieving KPIs across the entire value chain (from supplier to consumer), with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale, using proactive and predictive management approaches.
- Collaborate closely with the Production Manager to develop and implement strategies, particularly in continuous improvement and OPEN initiatives.
- Foster an integrated, high-performing team by applying the OPEN principles to enhance team capabilities and performance.
- Drive the Daily Direction Setting (DDS) process to ensure timely identification of issues and implementation of corrective actions to improve KPIs.
- Oversee the vertical launch of new projects and initiatives on the production lines to ensure smooth and efficient implementation.
- Promote and instill a sense of ownership over equipment and processes within the team.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development to team members, ensuring mastery of daily management systems, ownership, and excellent performance outcomes.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders and other departments through effective communication, a positive attitude, and collaborative problem-solving to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations, company policies, and best practices, particularly in safety, health, environmental sustainability, and quality management.
- A degree in Engineering or a related field, with substantial experience in continuous improvement roles.
- A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing environments.
- Proven expertise in applying lean production tools and effectively managing organizational operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
