We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in a 3 month paid intern opportunities at our site in Colorado. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities.

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 to $28.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.
Your role
- Assist in developing innovative processes, concepts, and design approaches for existing as well as new products and processes
- Undertake basic project development tasks such as writing and verifying specifications, maintaining process and product documentation, testing and validating new processes, equipment, and product prototypes.
- Help design, procure, and build simple tools and fixtures
- Support training of technicians and operators on new processes or test methods
- Help identify, improve, and solve problems linked to existing and new manufacturing processes and equipment
- Support the execution of new product development efforts for process characterization and validation
- Assist in acquiring and implementing new technologies to support both production and R&D
- Assist in the continuous improvement of quality, delivery, and cost through effective use of lean manufacturing principles
You're the right fit if
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Biomedical
- Strong mechanical reasoning skills in identifying and solving problems, developing innovative solutions, acting decisively, and showing good judgement
- Successful record of accomplishment executing school and/or internship projects
- Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Intermediate CAD proficiency (SolidWorks) preferred, Intermediate proficiency using a statistics software (Minitab, MATLAB etc) preferred
- Some machine shop experience preferred
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Office/Remote position
