Biomedical Equipment Technician 1 (Valhalla, NY)
Job Description
Support the Multi-Vendor Services (MVS) business as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) 1 for Philips customers in the Valhalla, NY area.
This position will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites;
generate service revenue; adhere to state and federal regulatory requirements.
Your role :
- Perform preventative maintenance and service repair on equipment utilizing the service manual, OJT, OEM or 3rd Party training.
- The identification and resolution of customer issues, providing the customer with the appropriate communication and involving appropriate site service personnel.
- Maintaining customer satisfaction is the primary goal. Therefore, the BMET must demonstrate ownership in difficult circumstances and show a sense of urgency about delivering results, ability to establish the priorities of the moment by assessing the priorities communicated by the Site Manager, the Site Team or the customer.
You're the right fit if :
- Located in or near the Valhalla, NY area.
- Associates degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience; BSEE / BSEET / BSME / BSMET preferred.
- 1 years of experience servicing medical equipment; general biomedical, patient monitoring, blood pressure monitors, defibrillators, or infusion pump experience highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of electronic circuit boards, schematics, processors and computer hardware and applications, including necessary tools and test equipment.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that is compliant with Philips’ Fleet Policy.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The hourly pay range for this position in NY is $21.00 - $36.00, plus overtime eligible. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge / skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive plan, field service incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives, may be offered.
