As the Inventory Management and Control Leader at Philips, you will oversee all aspects of inventory control within the North American Integrated Warehouse and Distribution (IWD) network.
Your role will involve developing and executing strategies to optimize inventory accuracy, minimize costs, and ensure inventory levels align with demand to support the company’s broader supply chain and business goals.
The Inventory Leader works closely with warehousing, planning, transportation, finance, and 3PL partners to maintain an efficient and agile supply chain that ensures product availability while minimizing excess stock and inventory risks.
Your role:
Developing and implementing strategies to manage inventory levels across Philips’ North American distribution centers
Ensuring accurate inventory tracking, including regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations to minimize discrepancies, working closely with finance, quality, and 3PL
Maintaining inventory accuracy standards by monitoring stock levels and collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams
Working closely with supply chain planning teams to align inventory levels with customer demands and ensure adequate stock levels to meet production and order fulfillment needs
Partnering with 3PL providers and internal warehouse teams to ensure efficient inventory flow from suppliers to distribution centers and customers
Overseeing and managing 3PL performance related to inventory accuracy, quality control, and timeliness of stock movements
Generating regular inventory reports and analyzing data to track performance indicators such as inventory turnover, stock levels, excess/obsolete inventory, and systems discrepancies
Leading continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory processes and reduce costs, risks, and overall supply chain efficiency
Implementing best practices in inventory management, leveraging automation and technology to streamline operations
Identifying root causes of inventory issues, developing corrective action plans, and implementing preventive measures
Monitoring inventory-related costs and identifying areas to improve cost efficiency without compromising service levels
Ensuring alignment between inventory policies and Philips’ overall cost-saving and efficiency objectives, and working closely with 3PL and Finance
Ensuring all inventory control processes comply with Philips’ quality standards and industry regulations
Collaborating with quality control teams to ensure that inventory storage and handling meet product quality requirements and standards
You're the right fit if:
You have acquired 10 years of leading experience in Inventory Management
You have Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain or other relevant discipline
You have experience with Resource Planning and Scheduling
You have proven experience with 3PL Management and Budgeting
You have a practical knowledge of Continuous Improvement
You are able to perform Supply Chain Risks Analysis
You have experience with Order Fulfillment and Shipment
You are able to execute on Business Strategy and Supply Chain Alignment
You have a proven track record of influencing cross-functional leaders

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This is an onsite position. The Inventory Management and Control Leader will be based in Nashville, TN.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in TN is $100,100 - $171,600.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
