A Controller operates and controls remote pipeline systems through a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system in the Remote-Operations Control Center. Controllers work a 12-hour Modified DuPont rotating shift schedule which includes nights, weekends and holidays. As a DOT safety-sensitive position, operating pipeline systems requires skill, dedication, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Controllers must successfully complete a rigorous training program that includes extensive hands-on experience, guided by an assigned Controller Trainer and a Console Supervisor. The Controller will train on the position of Controller through a progressive training curriculum that includes normal daylight hours and the rotating shift schedule. The Pipeline Control Center strives to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Phillips 66 pipelines from coast to coast. The Remote-Operations Control Center is located in downtown Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities May Include :
- Comfortable with digital tools, computer programs, and applications with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and learn new technology.
- Operating crude and product pipeline systems remotely.
- Following established procedures and processes, always with great attention to detail.
- Interpreting hydraulic data and responding to operational events and emergencies.
- Optimizing power usage through unit selection and scheduling techniques.
- Planning, coordinating, and making necessary call-outs to maintain operations.
- Communicating effectively with customers, supervisors and others at various functional levels.
- Providing training and mentorship to less experienced Controllers.
- Developing and updating operations procedures and processes.
- Successfully completing the training program in six months absent any extenuating circumstances.
