Responsibilities May Include
- Ensure safe operations of staff and equipment aligned with corporate, site operating, safety policies, and striving for zero incidents and injuries.
- Direct supervision, coaching, and career development of lab operations staff.
- Ensure direct reports have the proper safety, job, and skillset training.
- Champion an innovative growth mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate Lab equipment inspections and PMs.
- Investigate incidents and near misses.
- Participate in site safety initiatives.
- Prioritize projects and workload for team and individuals.
- Schedule and approve time off for direct reports.
- Manage all resources (people, equipment, and budget) to keep fit for purpose with workload demands, including hiring as needed.
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country and have a valid driver's license
- High school diploma/GED
- 10 or more years of relevant experience in refining, oil and gas, or other related operations
- Advanced proficiency in process safety management and behavior-based safety practices
- Basic proficiency in math and computer skills (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science-related field
- Proven ability to manage a very diverse set of assignments and priorities
- Proven ability to work within a team setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including detailed documentation
