The Payroll Advisor is responsible for assisting with processing multiple US payrolls each month. This includes monitoring and testing updates to the payroll process and ensuring that payroll calculations are following applicable laws and regulations while maintaining an environment of strong controls.
Responsibilities May Include :
- Managing the payroll process to deliver high accuracy and completeness from start to finish for bi-weekly, semi-monthly, special payments, dividend equivalent and off-cycle payments
- Interfacing with other HR groups to ensure accurate payroll data
- Serving as a resource for stock and equity transaction processing
- Serving as a resource for garnishment administration
- Managing the employee stock purchase file reconciliation and transmission
- Serving as a resource to authorize daily and regular payroll direct deposit files
- Serving as resource for overpayment management and collection
- Serving as the liaison between payroll and IT / Finance
- Creating reports and analyzing payroll data
- Providing tier 2 support for HR Connections on payroll issues
- Providing secondary audit review to ensure compliance
- Serving as resource bonus payment administration
- Coordinating SOX and assurance audits with internal and external auditors
- Coordinating Payroll projects and enhancements with other Phillips 66 businesses
- Serving as resource for special projects
- Managing knowledge center articles / documentation
Required Qualifications :
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 or more years analytical and problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
- Payroll certification
- Payroll experience
- SAP Payroll experience
- Good technical skills with databased visualization tools, such as PowerBI
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work in a collaborative environment as part of a team
