The Field Technician (Pipeline) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the equipment in their geographic area of responsibility. The role is a generalist position, intended to be qualified to perform the majority of maintenance, measurement, and repair tasks. This position provides support in the Permian Basin including areas: Big Springs, Midkiff, Odessa, and Midland.

Responsibilities May Include:
Maintain PLC, HMI equipment, software, pipeline valves and actuators.
Maintain and repair motor control equipment
Promotes good relations between the company, customers and the landowners.
Maintain close contact with the Area Supervisor in regard to equipment trouble reports and scheduled equipment maintenance to ensure minimum interruption of product throughout.
Maintenance and repair of prime mover and pumps.
Sampling and testing of product streams for quality control and accurate measurement.
Maintains facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices.
Participates in available cross training to effectively develop skills in themselves and peers.
Knowledgeable of environmental regulations and company policy concerning handling and disposal of hazardous substances.
One Calls- Protecting the pipeline from third party damage.
Maintain, calibrate and repair measurement equipment (including meters, provers, flow computers, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
Must live/relocate within 35 miles of reporting location
Willing and able to perform/comply with the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Lift up to 50 pounds
Occasionally exerts pulling force of 130 pounds
Occasionally may climb A-frame ladders, up to 12 feet in height
Regularly stoop, squat, kneel and/or crouch for durations up to 30 minutes
Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Able to respond and remain on-call as needed
Work inside gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
Work in loud environment
To wear personal protective equipment (such as fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear, and eye protection)
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of Tech school program or certification
2 or more years of applicable experience on NGL Pipeline Operations
2 or more years of instrumentation or electrical experience in oil and gas or related industry
Midstream:
Phillips 66's Midstream business is a safe, reliable and trusted logistics provider for the movement and storage of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 22,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
