Working alongside the Director of Track and Field, coaching responsibilities include supporting athletes to develop in the pole vault via drills, mobility work, conditioning, and feedback on form / technique / approach during practices and meets. Occasionally, the pole vault event coach will also work with athletes from other event groups, for example on lifting and recovery days. All coaches on staff also contribute to meet day operations.
Commitment is approximately 20-25 hours per week (Monday- Saturday) starting March 23, 2025 through the third weekend in May. Afternoon practices during season typically run from 3 : 15 – 5 p.m. as well as meets, home and away, on most Saturdays during the spring term. No benefits.
The strongest applicants will have the following qualifications :
- Ability to positively motivate, inspire and be role model to high-school aged students.
- Be adaptable and enjoy working alongside the current coaching staff
