Job Description:
Will be responsible for providing daily administrative support for the efficient operations of the organizations Human Resource department. Areas of responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assisting with recruiting, onboarding, staff relations, benefits, workers compensation administration, digital files maintenance, payroll processing may also be part of this position
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of all information and files generally associated with the Human Resource functions.
- General office duties include providing general administrative support to Human Resources, responding to phone calls and walk-in traffic, sorting and distributes the mail, making copies, composing correspondence, scanning of documents, and performing other office procedures in a timely and professional manner.
- Update and maintain I-9 file.
- Support internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests, referring to more complex questions to the HR Manager.
- Compile and maintain paper, digital, and electronic employee records. Maintains accurate and up-to-date HR digital files, records, and documentation.
- Maintain CHP Pull program
- Organize and schedule meetings,
- Maintain employee evaluations schedule and work closely with supervisor to ensure timely delivery.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Prepares and forwards correspondence as needed to employees and/or other state agencies regarding benefits, employment verifications, and other employment status requests.
- Prepare and update quarterly internal telephone list.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, health/safety fairs, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, celebrations, etc.
- Work with new hires to collect necessary paperwork.
- Run various reports as requested by using ADP and other software.
- Ensure all required labor and legal posters are present at each location.
- Process Biweekly payroll and reports when needed.

Education/Experience: High school education, GED, plus 1 plus years of Human Resources experience. Possess general knowledge of state and federal employment and labor laws.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to communicate English in written and verbal form (Spanish helpful).
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Apply percentage discounts.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and proof of current auto insurance. Enroll in company’s DMV pull notice program.
Computer Skills and Software: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have above average knowledge of the following:
Outlook- Set up calendar. Search emails. Create folders, share them with others. Create meetings and appointments.
Excel- Create worksheets/workbooks and templates.
Manipulate date, sort, and filter. Thoroughly understand functions.
