Junior Graphic Artist/Designer

Phillips International. is a costume jewelry wholesaler seeking an energetic and passionate graphic artist, for a paid internship, that thrives in a fast paced work environment, to join our amazing team! The graphic artist will be responsible for maintaining the company website by photographing jewelry, editing and uploading to the Shopify back end. Additionally, custom hang tags and marketing graphics will be needed from time to time. The graphic artist understands the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, and layouts.

• Photograph jewelry, remove background, enhance and upload to Shopify back end
• Study design briefs and determine requirements
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs
• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
• Proven graphic designing experience
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Mastery of design software Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines

Job Type: Internship

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• Graphic Design: 1 year (Required)
