Groundskeeper Position Overview:
- Responsible for the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings of multi-family residential apartments. Will perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: watering, raking, trash pick-up and keeping breezeways and hallways clean.
How You'll Contribute to the Workplace:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintenance
- Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.
- Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter daily.
- Assist in the preparation of market ready units, including remove trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to make-ready.
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager and/or perform assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
- Assist in the cleaning of available apartments and or models.
- Assist in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems.
- Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Participate in On-Call rotation, if necessary.
- Daily dumpster corral clean-up.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that building systems and physical condition of asset doesn’t deteriorate.
- Check and maintain pool chemicals, if necessary.
- Maintain pool cleanliness and surrounding area.
- Check irrigation systems on a regular basis.
Administrative
- Uphold all company policies, goals, and values.
- Remain compliant with all required training.
Resident Relations
- Represent the community in a professional manner at all times-on/off property.
- Deliver communication documentation to residents.
- Contribute to the resident retention programs.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- At least one to to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- CFC, CPO, HVAC Certifications are recommended but not required.
