Groundskeeper Position Overview:

  • Responsible for the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings of multi-family residential apartments. Will perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: watering, raking, trash pick-up and keeping breezeways and hallways clean.

How You'll Contribute to the Workplace:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintenance

  • Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.
  • Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter daily.
  • Assist in the preparation of market ready units, including remove trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to make-ready.
  • Assist Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager and/or perform assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the cleaning of available apartments and or models.
  • Assist in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems.
  • Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Participate in On-Call rotation, if necessary.
  • Daily dumpster corral clean-up.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that building systems and physical condition of asset doesn’t deteriorate.
  • Check and maintain pool chemicals, if necessary.
  • Maintain pool cleanliness and surrounding area.
  • Check irrigation systems on a regular basis.

Administrative

  • Uphold all company policies, goals, and values.
  • Remain compliant with all required training.

Resident Relations

  • Represent the community in a professional manner at all times-on/off property.
  • Deliver communication documentation to residents.
  • Contribute to the resident retention programs.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least one to to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • CFC, CPO, HVAC Certifications are recommended but not required.
