Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and supportive Learning Support Professional to join our team at PHILLIPS Programs Schools. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to provide individualized support to students in a high school setting.
About the Role
The Special Education Aide will assist teachers in implementing behavior programs and instructional activities. This includes monitoring student progress, supervising students during daily activities, and maintaining communication with parents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in classroom programming and behavioral interventions
- Support teachers in implementing instructional activities and assessing student progress
- Supervise students during daily activities, including bus duty and off-campus events
- Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, and external professionals
- Record and report behavioral data as needed
- Evaluate and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe learning environment
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, or Criminal Justice (preferred)
- Experience working in a special needs school environment (highly preferred)
