Phillips Sign & Lighting is seeking an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our team at Phillips Sign & Lighting. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates for sign and lighting projects, working closely with our sales team and management to understand project requirements and ensure that all estimates meet or exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope of work and estimate costs.
- Identify and research materials, equipment, and labor required to complete projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals, including cost breakdowns, and projected timelines.
- Work with project managers to ensure estimates are accurate and realistic, and that all project costs are managed effectively.
- Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar estimating role, with a focus on sign and lighting projects.
- Strong knowledge of sign and lighting materials, equipment, and industry standards.
- Excellent math and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and project management software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
