Phillips Staffing is looking for energic, detailed oriented, and creative individuals for a Shift Mechanic / Control Equipment Technician role at a leading textile, chemical, and floor covering solutions manufacturer in Williamston, SC!
Job Summary : The Shift Mechanic is responsible for reacting to and repairing machinery breakdowns throughout the shift in a safe and timely manner. The associate will also be a part of the emergency response team (spill, fire, and inclement weather) and will have certain responsibilities that pertain to each task. Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Provide scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
- Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required equipment service
- Assist other engineering associates to perform work as required to keep production machinery and auxiliary equipment in working order
- Inform appropriate management and maintenance / production associates of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved
- Assist other maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting
- Demonstrate a high level of safety consciousness and fully participate in the Safety Process
