What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator 2nd Shift position at Phillips Staffing?

We are seeking a detail-oriented, enthusiastic individual to join a growing team at a leading automotive bearing manufacturer in West Union, SC!

Responsibilities :

Gauge building and verification.
Meet productivity goals / targets.
Adhere to company policies & regulations according to safety and environmental issues
Make accurate decisions in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
Satisfactory attendance (maintaining less than 2 attendance points at all times).

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent

2 years of manufacturing at a single location

Experience with calipers and micrometers

Must be able to understand and use a variety of gauges, calipers and micrometers.

Work overtime and weekends when required.

Must be a self-starter, a good organizer of time and maintain good attendance.

Overtime may be required.

Must have a knowledge of FIFO system and adhere to company policies and safety rules and regulations.

Must be able to watch the clock continuously to start and stop loop at the correct times. Standing and waiting when needed.

Basic understanding of gauge care and handling.

Ability to recognize abnormalities

Ability to use good judgment and willing to escalate safety and quality issues.

Shift Schedule : 2nd Shift

Pay Rate : $19.36

Salary : $19
