Job Summary:
Working with the Elderly/ computer skills/demonstrated ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere both over the phone and in person. The ability to handle multiple phone lines and tasks/good time management and organizational skills/able to handle confidential information/support the mission and vision of the corporation. Ability to work independently and collectively with other departments.
Essential Functions:
The receptionist is the official “greeter” and represents the Phillips~Stickland House Corporation in that role. This position requires formal and informal communication with the general public (on the telephone and in person), our residents and employees as well as vendors. Professional communication skills must be used at all times. The receptionist must also be aware of who is coming into the facility at all times. It is the responsibility of the receptionist to direct people and/or connect them to staff or residents. Therefore, the receptionist must be familiar with the layout of the facility. This position sets the standard for customer service for the entire corporation in order for Phillips~Strickland House and Boyd Place to derive the full benefit from each and every contact.

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
- This includes residents, employees, vendors, the general public, etc.
- Maintains a presence at the front desk at all times, arranging for coverage when needed.
- Assists in maintaining good relations with other departments in the facility.
- Maintains confidentiality of others and/or files, etc.
- Provides callers with information such as company address, directions, FAX #, and other related information.
- Maintains office operations.
- Keep the front desk area clean and neat, yet well stocked with supplies needed.
- Keeps notebook, log sheets, etc. current for full time.
- Communications through the email systems and receptionists communications book.
- Communicates and works with the Executive Director
- Meets as needed with the Executive Director.
- Communicates regularly with the Executive Director directly, by email or with written notes.
- Reports safety and/or other concerns to the Management Staff.
Non-Essentials:
- Coordinates short-term project requests from other departments.
- Assists with mailings, bulletin boards, newsletters, etc. as needed.
- Maintain a neat and orderly copy room.
- Fills duties not specifically defined in job description as assigned by the Executive Director.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements High School Diploma.
