Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Cargo Van Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting items safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, time management, and adherence to safety protocols. The Contractor will operate their personal Cargo Van, ensuring timely deliveries and security of items being delivered.
Duties
- Safely operate personal cargo van to ensure deliveries are secure and delivered safely.
- Load scan and deliver scan items.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage.
- Collect signatures from customers at time of delivery.
- Collect returns from customers as needed.
- Perform route driving, following designated pre routed path to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any necessary documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher and managers.
- Items must be delivered on time throughout route.
- Daily deliveries average between 12-15.
- Daily miles average 150-175.
Requirements
- Valid driver license and required insurance.
- Clean background and drug test.
- Must own dolly (2 or 4 wheel).
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Position is 1099, independent contractor.
Pay is direct deposit on Fridays, with one week held back.
