Job Summary
This is a challenging role for an Advanced Process Control (APC) engineer to provide support to refinery operations and projects. The APC engineer will ensure that refinery process unit business objectives are met through the implementation and troubleshooting of regulatory and advanced multi-variable control configurations.
About the Role
- Provide APC engineering support to improve refinery process unit operational performance through APC application performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization.
- Lead the development, implementation, design, and modeling of new, as well as maintenance of existing APC applications including implementation of new releases and upgrades.
- Identify and present new income improvement opportunities through APC applications for the purpose of improving operational stability and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop APC safe work practices, maintenance procedures, testing procedures, specifications and engineering standards where required.
- Develop APC application specific documentation as well as any training required for operations or technical personnel.
- Conduct regular reviews of applicable APC Key Performance Indicators (KPI), communicate the results to operations and process engineering along with any remediations required to maintain or improve APC performance.
