Resource Planning Analyst

• Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed
• Evaluate production schedules that account for constraints such as floor space, crane capacities, and takt time
• Gather feedback from Production on actual durations compared to planned duration in order to improve visibility and work into future iterations of schedules
• Monitor and adjust schedules in response to real-time production conditions, delays, and changing priorities
• Analyze work center capacities to ensure an even distribution of labor and equipment utilization
• Identify production bottlenecks for each vessel type and recommend solutions to improve throughout
• Work closely with Production Engineering and Facilities Engineering to evaluate shipbuilding processes and assist facility investments efforts (e.g., equipment, facility upgrades, workforce planning) to enhance schedule efficiency
• Utilize data-driven methodologies to forecast resource needs and anticipate scheduling conflicts
• Generate reports on production efficiency, resource utilization, and improvements overtime accredited to various investments and improvements
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science with an emphasis on engineering preferred
• 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or resource management in a manufacturing or shipbuilding environment
• Planning experience in manufacturing industries preferred
• Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex production data and develop actionable insights
• Knowledge of shipbuilding processes, including standard production operations and facility constraints.
• Knowledge of productive work methods, capability to make productivity comparisons.
• Other software skills - MS Office, AutoCAD

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be carried on indoors or outdoors, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.

 This is an on-site, full-time, safety-sensitive position.  Standard days and hours of work vary by department, days and hours determined by department schedules.
