- Ensure that all Hanwha Philly Shipyard’s safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met
- Create or modify material master, BOM, and WMS data in SAP based on data received from design engineers. Provide notification to procurement and planning when data is updated
- Implement and maintain Winshuttle scripts for automation of material master, BOM header, and BOM creation and updating
- Perform spot checks of material/BOM data to spot issues or inconsistencies before upload
- Provide support and help to engineering department members as an SAP power user
- Work with outside design and material supply partners to define responsibilities and format of data provided by them at the beginning of a new project
- Assist with developing automation scripts and macros for processing of material and BOM data by design engineers
- Participate in SAP power user team as a representative of the engineering department. Propose technical improvements to the SAP system, develop and implement improvements applicable to the engineering portions of the system
- Access and modify material and BOM data to provide technical support for material tracking, receipt, logistics, handling, quarantine, and timing of installation
- Generate training material and provide training on the use of SAP and data management to the engineering department
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPEREIENCE
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience
- 5 years’ experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Experience in shipbuilding, system design, or manufacturing industry
- Experience working in a team
- Preferred:
- Knowledge/experience concerning basic and detail ship design
- Knowledge/experience concerning modern shipbuilding practices
- Experience or familiarity with Asian or European shipbuilding standards and practices is a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Although most of this work is indoors in an office environment, responsibilities will occasionally field work in the shipyard’s material storage facilities, fabrication shops, dry docs, and onboard vessels. These heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.

This is an on-site, full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard days and hours of work vary by department, days and hours determined by department schedules. Occasional international travel may be required.
