Job Description
We seek a detail-oriented and strategic Bookkeeper to oversee our accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and cash flow management, with the ability to streamline processes and optimize financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Oversee and manage the billing and invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timely collection of payments.
- Monitor customer accounts, follow up on outstanding invoices, and implement collection strategies to reduce overdue balances.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to resolve billing disputes and ensure smooth payment processes.
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Manage the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Oversee expense reporting and reconciliation, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating payment terms where applicable.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with QuickBooks.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong understanding of AR/AP principles, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple financial tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred. (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
