What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025/26 Philomath School District - Philomath High School Theatre Director position at Philomath SD 17J?
Qualifications:
- Past experience as theatre actor and/or involvement in theatrical productions
- Knowledge of all aspects of a theatrical program
- Knowledge of methods for teaching acting and the theatre process
- Ability to motivate students and gain their respect
- Successful and positive experience working with middle and high school age students
- Skilled at working under pressure with deadlines
- Ability to work as a team player
Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Staging a Fall and Spring play
- Practical and creative interpretation of a dramatic script
- Casting
- Supervise costume, set design and lighting
- Manage budgets for all aspects of the production
- Manage rehearsals and final performances
Contract: 1.0 FTE (limited term/stipend) - Co-Curricular schedule - HS/MS Play Production per the Licensed negotiated agreement. Salary range is paid per full production. Position to start in the 2025-26 school year.
