Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic/innovative team. The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting our client’s digital infrastructure by monitoring systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing security measures. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about cybersecurity and looking to grow their expertise in a supportive environment.

Duties:

  • System administration with onboarding new client systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain security hardware and software
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on systems to prevent potential issues.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts from various tools and systems.
  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including firewalls and VPN connections.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies.
  • Perform system and network monitoring to detect and respond to suspicious activities.
  • Assist in incident response activities, including forensic analysis and reporting.
  • Document all support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system for future reference.
  • Support compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends and emerging threats.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.

Requirements:

-Required

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in IT support or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques across multiple operating systems, particularly Windows and Mac OS.
  • Familiarity with desktop support practices and tools.
  • Understanding of network security measures, including firewalls and VPNs.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills.

-Preferred:

  • Experience with security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM systems).
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security , CEH, or CISSP.
  • Experience with cloud security tools and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
