POSITION DESCRIPTION
Phinney Design Group is seeking an entry level interior designer for our Saratoga office location. You will work with senior designers to develop and execute design solutions for both residential and commercial projects. You will gain a thorough understanding of the Studio's design philosophy by assisting in the all phases of design development. Under the direction of the senior interior designers, you will collaborate with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, fabricators and several other outside parties to ensure project objectives. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within a collaborative and dynamic team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in interior design principles, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in Revit.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
· Under the direction of the Senior Interior Designers, research interior products, select colors/finishes/materials and apply established interior design standards
· Produce detailed construction drawings; including plans, elevations, details, custom millwork in Revit.
· Support business development activities through assistance with aids such as finish boards and presentations
· Perform site surveys and documentation to establish existing equipment schedules
· Maintain interior design library and serve as a point of contact for interior product vendors
Requirements/Qualifications
· 1-3 years as an Interior Designer or related experience
· Equivalent of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design
· Proficiency working in Revit, 3-D software
· Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
· Excellent communication skills; detail oriented; highly organized; self-motivated; accurate; work well under pressure
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL have
· Specific experience working on high-end residential and commercial projects
· Specific experience in selecting, specifying, and procurement of finishes and furniture
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a fast paced environment.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
