Description
The Utilityman performs the following duties cleaning, troubleshooting and performs general repairs as needed or directed by management. Ensuring that it is a safe, healthy and sanitary environment for residents.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop and dispose of garbage as directed
- Clean vents, windows, surfaces and ledges as directed
- Monitor the building for safety issues and report any problems or concerns to management
- Strip, wax, Buff floors as directed
- Handle recycling materials as directed
- Performs various general handy man duties as directed by management
- Perform general plumbing repairs such as toilets, faucets and minor leaks.
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with the management team through effective communication.
- Maintains inventory and submits written requests for supplies.
- Report damage and/or unsafe conditions to management
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by management
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
- At least 2 years prior handyman or Porter and cleaning facilities experience
- Must exhibit a positive and flexible attitude, and work well as part of a diverse team.
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as but not limited to lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing, climbing or walking.
