Position Summary:
We are seeking skilled, detail-oriented, and customer-focused mobile phlebotomists to join our team. In this role, you will travel to clients’ locations to perform blood draws, sample collections, and deliver specimens to designated labs. The ideal candidate will have a background in phlebotomy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Flexibility and reliability are key in ensuring that we meet the needs of our clients in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to clients’ homes, offices, healthcare facilities, or other agreed-upon location to perform blood draws and other specimen collections.
- Ensure the accurate and timely collection, labeling, handling, and transportation of blood and other specimens according to established protocols.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure all phlebotomy equipment, tools, and materials are prepared and sterile for use.
- Safely transport collected specimens to partnering labs or designated drop-off locations.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, specimen collections, and services rendered.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to ensure the safety of patients and yourself.
- Manage your daily schedule efficiently, ensuring timely arrival to all appointments.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Phlebotomist (CPT, NHA, or equivalent) is REQUIRED.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in phlebotomy (mobile experience preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and blood collection protocols.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with proof of auto insurance is REQUIRED.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to put patients at ease.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry phlebotomy equipment and supplies.
- Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
