Position: Substitute Phlebotomist Instructor
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive instruction in the art of phlebotomy for aspiring phlebotomists.
- Cultivate a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for students during lecture and all clinical drawing portions.
- Encourage and support students throughout the program to ensure successful completion.
- Deliver our insightful curriculum in a clear and easily comprehensible manner.
- Manage onsite inventory and classroom cleanliness.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including classroom documentation (If applicable).
- Productive attendance and timeliness to all scheduled classes.
- Required reliable transportation and an address to receive inventory boxes.
- Required Technology knowledge with IPads, mirror casting, troubleshooting, etc.
- Preferred - EKG knowledge and work experience
State Requirements:
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in the area of teaching responsibility, or demonstrate appropriate training or experience related to the responsibilities of the position as determined by the commission, must provide degree upon request; OR
- Medical Technical Certificate (Phlebotomy, Medical Assisting, CNA, Laboratory Technician) in the state of Kentucky with a minimum of 2 years full time phlebotomy experience in the previous 5 years (venipuncture, blood collection, lab processing, and special specimen procurement), must provide a copy of phlebotomy certificate upon request;
- Hold no less than a high school diploma or GED and have completed a program of postsecondary education (college, career technical education, university, etc) in phlebotomy from an accredited institution or an institution licensed to operate as a postsecondary educational institution, must provide diploma or transcript upon request
- Employment offers are contingent upon completion of a background check

- Proof of Education (Diploma, GED, Transcripts)
- Phlebotomy Certification if experience requirements aren't met
Schedule:
Weekends: Saturdays, 8:00AM-4:30PM
