Join our esteemed team at PTS, a well-established Utah-based organization with a proud 30-year history, as we embark on a search for a dedicated Phlebotomy Instructor at our prestigious North Las Vegas location.
Position: Phlebotomy Instructor/Director
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive instruction in the art of phlebotomy for aspiring phlebotomists.
- Cultivate a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for students during lecture and all clinical drawing portions.
- Encourage and support students throughout the program to ensure successful completion.
- Deliver our insightful curriculum in a clear and easily comprehensible manner.
- Manage onsite inventory and classroom cleanliness.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including classroom documentation (If applicable).
- Productive attendance and timeliness to all scheduled classes.
- Required reliable transportation and an address to receive inventory boxes.
- Required Technology knowledge with IPads, mirror casting, troubleshooting, etc.
- Preferred - EKG knowledge and work experience
- Work directly with the Licensing Director at PTS for all quarterly or annual state audits, licensing paperwork, and/or attending possible site visits at the location.
- Depending on your location additional state regulatory director training may be required.
State Requirements:
- CURRENT licensed Lab Assistant or Office Lab Assistant in the state of Nevada with a minimum of 2 years full time phlebotomy experience in the previous 5 years (venipuncture, blood collection, lab processing, and special specimen procurement), must provide a copy of license upon request.
- Must be able to provide letters from previous employers indicating and describing the work or teaching responsibilities in detail and provide contact information to verify employment.
- Have completed a program of postsecondary education (college, career technical education, university, etc) in phlebotomy from an accredited institution or an institution licensed to operate as a postsecondary educational institution, must provide diploma or transcript upon request
- Minimum of one year previous supervisory/management experience in the medical field
- Instructors will be fingerprinted by the Nevada Commission per state regulations
Schedules:
AM Shift: Monday-Thursday, 9:00AM - 1:00PM
Weekend Shift: Saturdays, 8:00AM-4:30PM
