Position: Phlebotomy Instructor / Director
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive instruction in the art of phlebotomy for aspiring phlebotomists.
- Cultivate a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for students during lecture and all clinical drawing portions.
- Encourage and support students throughout the program to ensure successful completion.
- Deliver our insightful curriculum in a clear and easily comprehensible manner.
- Manage onsite inventory and classroom cleanliness.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including classroom documentation (If applicable).
- Productive attendance and timeliness to all scheduled classes.
- Required reliable transportation and an address to receive inventory boxes.
- Required Technology knowledge with iPads, mirror casting, troubleshooting, etc.
- Preferred - EKG knowledge and work experience
Onsite Campus Director additional responsibilities include:
- Work directly with the Licensing Director at PTS for all quarterly or annual state audits, licensing paperwork, and/or attending possible site visits at the location. **All of these tasks will need to be completed under the direction and supervision of the Licensing Director.**
- Depending on your location additional state regulatory director training may be required.
State Requirements:
- Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician in the state of Texas, with a minimum of 4 years of full-time phlebotomy experience in the last 10 years (including venipunctures, blood collection, lab processing, and special specimen procurement); a copy of the phlebotomy/medical certificate will be required upon request
- Hold at least a high school diploma or GED, and have completed a program of instruction at a recognized school directly related to the field of teaching; a copy of the diploma or transcript will be required upon request.
Available Schedules:
Weekend Shift: Saturdays, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
