Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mobile Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood sampling and other laboratory techniques in various patient settings. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring the highest standards of service.
Duties
- Conduct blood sampling procedures in a mobile setting, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Utilize proper phlebotomy techniques to collect blood specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations while performing duties.
- Document all procedures accurately in accordance with laboratory protocols.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns and answering questions related to the phlebotomy process.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing of samples.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of mobile equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and laboratory techniques.
- Ability to effectively phlebotomize patients of all ages with varying levels of anxiety or discomfort.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding patient service.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols for blood sampling and specimen handling.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for travel between patient locations.
- Certification in phlebotomy or relevant healthcare field is preferred but not required.
- Must have access to supplies and a mobile centrifuge.
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
