JOB OVERVIEW:
The FIR/IPP Bilingual Evaluator conducts behavioral health assessments for forensic participants and interacts with the staff and legal team.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Must be fluent in Spanish and English
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
- Conduct face-to-face interviews with adults using various assessment tools with flexibility within the Forensic Services department in various settings.
- Apply for funding for each participant’s individual treatment needs to multiple funding sources, if applicable.
- Maintain positive, working relationships with treatment providers.
- Enter accurate data into Forensic Services database systems.
- Adhere to evaluation completion within established protocols.
- Meet or exceed the minimal productivity requirements of 32 evaluations per month.
- Participate in biweekly supervision with your immediate supervisor.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS:
- The Bilingual Evaluator must be fluent in Spanish. At least 80% of working time will be utilized to complete assessments for Spanish-speaking participants.
- Must have working knowledge of substance abuse/dependence and mental illness
- Must be able to work independently
- Must possess excellent verbal and written skills
- Must possess computer word processing skills
- Must possess working knowledge of the DSM-V and be able to assign diagnostic codes
- Must have a working knowledge of the Philadelphia area behavioral health provider network
- Preferred: ASAM training/certification
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
EXPERIENCE:
- 4 years of experience working with substance abusing population
- 1-2 years of experience conducting behavioral health evaluations or assessments
- Experience working with persons diagnosed with mental illness and co-occurring disorders
- Preferred: Experience working with criminal justice participants
SALARY GRADE: 16
