JOB SUMMARY
- Responsible for developing procedures in support of wide and local area networks and services throughout the hospital and its affiliates. Provides second level support to network administrators and other technicians.
- Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
- Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
- General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
- May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
- May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
- May be scheduled as needed including overtime
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 2 year / Associate Degree in Information Systems related discipline, in lieu of degree will accept CISSP Certification (Required)
- 1-2 years Experience in Network Administration specifically with Active Directory (Preferred)
- 1-2 years Experience with Network applications such as Systems Management Server (SMS) and VMWare Server, client software such as Microsoft Outlook and end user application software such as Microsoft Office (Preferred)
- 1-2 years Experience in Network operating systems especially Microsoft Active Directory, as well in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and DOS (Preferred)
- 1-2 years Experience with Security and anti virus techniques (Preferred)
- 1-2 years Experience with Enterprise class wireless network infrastructure (Preferred)
- Preferred Certifications/Licensures: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Organizational Skills Communication Skills Interpersonal Skills Customer Relations Analytical Grammar/Spelling Read/Comprehend Written Instructions Follow Verbal Instructions Basic Computer Skills Microsoft Office Suite
