- JOB SUMMARY
- The Pharmacy Tech, 340B Analyst is responsible for pharmacy systems and outcomes in the following areas:(1) drug product selection and procurement, (2) 340B program compliance, monthly auditing, reporting, dispensing patterns, and inventory process. (3) Inventory control and billing processes and (4) information support systems/technology development.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS- Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
- Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs).
WORKING CONDITIONS- General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
- May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
- May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
OSHA CATEGORY
- OSHA Category III - Employees will have no occupational exposures to hazards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 2 year / Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology or healthcare-related field (Required)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician (Required)
- 2 years of experience or training in pharmaceutical sourcing and/or procurement (Preferred)
- 340B hospital (DSH, CAH, SCH, or RRC) program experience (Preferred)
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES- Technician Registration with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy AND Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (Required)
- Completion of Apexus 340B University (Required)
- Apexus Advanced Operations Certificate (Required or within 3 months of hire)
